Opportunities for Dialogue
PAHO can offer opportunities for virtual dialogue and other communication tools. By use of these instruments, the user must agree to abstain from the following:
- To defame, insult, harass, threaten or assume any type of behavior that violates the rights of others;
- Disseminate, publish, or distribute information or materials that are defamatory, obscene, indecent, illicit or immoral;
- Upload to the site or send as archived annex messages that contain computer programs or materials protected by intellectual property laws (or by rights of privacy or publicity) without having the authorization;
- Not include reference to the author or legal reports, to lie about the origin or to present information as your own or other archived materials from the site;
- Announce or sell services or goods, or conduct or promote surveys, competitions or chain letters, or disengage an archived forum for another use other than known, or that cannot be distributed illicitly.
The user recognizes that the opportunities for dialogue constitute an environment of public, not private, communication. At the same time, the user recognizes that the dialogues and materials published on the site do not have the support of PAHO and are not considered to be reviewed, examined or approved by PAHO.
Complaints for possible violations
PAHO will strive to prevent activities unlawful and contrary to the Terms and Conditions contained herein. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or deriving from the use of the site or its materials will be resolved in a friendly manner between PAHO and the user. Unless disputes are settled amicably within sixty (60) days after receipt by one of the parties of the other party's request to attempt a friendly settlement, such dispute, controversy, or claim shall be referred by any of the parties to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in force. The arbitral tribunal shall not be authorized to impose punitive damages. Any arbitration award issued pursuant to the arbitration shall be deemed to be the final resolution of the dispute, controversy or claim and shall be binding on the parties.
If the user does not agree with any of the terms and conditions contained herein, he or she shall refrain from using the site and any material contained herein.
